Dane Bawcom
My name is Dane Bawcom and I am 33 years old. When I was young I grew up in church and had a great family. I was raised mostly by my grandparents and father. When I was 18 yrs. old I had numerous surgeries on my knees. At that time the doctors put me on pain medication and over the years of taking it, just like I was suppose to, I developed a high tolerance to it. Before I knew it I was relying on pain medication just to function like a normal person. Then 2 yrs. ago I looked around me and all of my friends that did not do drugs had prospered but I had nothing. I didn’t really even want to live anymore. I heard about a place called John 3:16. Bryan Tuggle was the director. Bryan was from the Lake Village area where I grew up, so I called him. In October, 2006 I came here to John 3:16 and I was just a wreck when I got here. November, 2006 I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since that time I have learned to be a servant to others. I love other people and I look to see what I can do for others instead of trying to see what they can do for me. I have been blessed since I have been here. I have a fiancé who is a very Godly woman. We will be getting married in April, 2009. I have become an instructor here at John 3:16 and on top of getting to stay here I am also the “Head Chef” of the “John 3:16 Catering Crew.” That allows me to help give back to this ministry. I help the guys (Residents) when they need me and I am here for anyone that needs me. I am truly blessed. Amen More Testimonials
